MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

THEME:  Ending Racism/Respect & Education

When we prejudge others because their skin is a different color or their religion is different from our own, it’s usually because we lack knowledge.  That’s why it’s important that we learn about other races, religions, and cultures.  Today, remember this:  Education is the key to ending the pain and suffering caused by racism.

STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS:

·       Our Texas Roadhouse “Buy Tunes for the Troops” fundraiser is underway!  Remember, for each $10 donation made the person will get a complimentary appetizer pass.  You can purchase ITune cards and bring them in to give as a donation. If you need additional passes, please stop by the main office.  Don’t forget, the homeroom class that raises the most money will receive a catered lunch from Texas Roadhouse!  The deadline is Thursday, April 1^st and may the best class win!

·        This afternoon we will have a  Pep Assembly to kick-off the Spring Sports session; following the Pep Assembly there will be a DSTP Ice Cream Social Celebration for a job well done!

·        Tomorrow DABMS PTO will be hosting a Flapjacks Fundraiser at the Camden Applebee's from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Today is the last day to purchase tickets from the main office.

·        Tutoring will start again on Tuesday, March 23.

·        Tuesday, March 23 the 8^th grade students will attend the annual CRHS AFJROTC Assembly at approx. 1:45 p.m.

·        The NJHS will host the school dance on Friday, March 26 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 

·        8^th grade cheerleaders who want to tryout for the Caesar Rodney High School squad, tryouts will be held March 29, 30 and 31 – from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the school. 

THIS WEEK’S HEALTH TIP:  Super Skin!

·        Your skin has amazing healing ability. Remember the last time you had a cut? Your skin completely healed or left only a small scar didn’t it. Skin is simply skintastic!

TODAY’S LUNCH MENU: 

·        Pizza, Chefs Salad, Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich, Peas, Chicken Noodle Soup & Assorted Fruit/Juices/Milk.
